Truly Tassie is a business based entirely on what Tasmania produces.
An always growing range of gourmet condiments, wine, confectionery, cheese, art, jewellery, wooden art and so much more. Truly Tassie was established in the early months of 2009 when Wes Hill and his wife realised that they wanted a shop where they could find 100% Tasmanian made products to take their family and friends who visited.
They knew they wouldn't be the only people who thought like this... and they were right! Soon enough, Wes asked his youngest daughter Emma-Lea to move down from Victoria to help with the ever growing business. Wes and Emma-Lea who work in the shop fulltime take pride in working together to bring great customer service to all their clientele. So much so that in August of 2009, Wes won the CityProm, Service Excellence Award for outstanding customer service in the Tourism section. A fantasic effort for a new business! "We love to welcome every customer into our shop. They love it when we offer them tastings on wine, condiments, cheese, chocolate... It's a talking point and they won't leave wondering, or hungry for that matter" says Wes. Truly Tassie has become well known for selling 100% Tasmanian made hampers. "We are so overwhelmed with the fantastic feedback we are getting from the purchaser and the receiver. It makes us excited everytime we fill a hamper order to see the joy in the faces of our customers" says Emma-Lea Wes and Emma-Lea will work together with you to make the perfect hamper to suit your requirements, whether it's for the individual or corporate needs they will be sure to help you.
